Romance Link is the most innovative form of communication between adults seeking a lasting relationship online.

 

Romance Link is a service provided by RL International, LLC, A California Limited Liability Company.

 

Our goal is to provide the best possible products and services for our members.  Our system can update our members’ information quickly and effectively, so you can access the latest information and profiles.

 

Your use of this site is governed by a contractual agreement between you and Romance Link. This is that Agreement.  Pleases read this Agreement carefully before registering because it limits the liability of Romance Link and RL International, LLC, and is binding and enforceable on members and to a limited extent, former members. You agree that the terms and conditions of this Agreement govern every aspect of your usage of Romance Link. 

 

MEMBERSHIP ONLY PERMITTED IF YOU AGREE TO AND CONFORM TO TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT

If you agree with the terms of this Agreement, choose the "Yes, I agree" button to become a member. If you do not agree, choose "No, I do not agree," and you will not become a member.  Romance Link may terminate your privilege to use this service in its sole discretion if, inter alia, (1) you violate any term or condition of this Agreement or (2) if your use of this service is otherwise deemed by Romance Link to be potentially harmful or offensive to anyone.

 

RIGHT TO AMEND OR MODIFY AGREEMENT

Romance Link reserves the right to amend this Agreement at any time effective immediately upon providing general notice to the Members on this site.

 

FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION AND YOUR PERSONAL LIABILITY

As a Member of Romance Link, you agree that you are the “publisher� of any information you post, and you are solely responsible for the content of everything that you post or publish.  You are also solely responsible for the content of your correspondence with other members.  Just as would occur in any other context, you may be held civilly or criminally responsible for any defamation, harassment, infringement of intellectual property rights, or other improper or offensive content that you post or publish.  Romance Link is not the publisher, provider, or editor of any such information, but rather merely provides the medium for transmitting the correspondence among its Members, who remain solely responsible for all such content.

 

ACCEPTABLE MEMBER ACTIVITY AND OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE:

This membership is for your personal use only, and may not be shared with any other person. At no time during your membership may you authorize others to use your membership, or otherwise participate in the use of this service.  You may not assign or transfer your account to any other person or entity, with or without the knowledge or permission of Romance Link.

 

Romance Link may choose to monitor any areas of the service as allowed by law for on-line service providers and for maintenance or protection of the Romance Link’s service database, or for any other lawful purpose.  You agree, however, that such monitoring does not relieve you of responsibility for your own published content or statements.

 

You agree that you will not post or transmit to other members or employees of Romance Link any item that is deemed to be abusive, offensive, profane, obscene, defamatory, vulgar, libelous, pornographic, harassing, racially or sexually offensive, or unlawful, or any material that violates or infringes another member or Romance Link employee’s rights. These rights include, but are not limited to, intellectual property rights and rights of publicity and privacy. You agree that you will not post or otherwise provide Romance Link with any photos containing nudity, sexually explicit content, or any advertising material or other commercial information.

 

You are solely responsible for your own interactions and communications with other members. Romance Link reserves the right to monitor disputes between you and other members or employees, but is under no obligation or duty to do so.  If you believe that you are the victim or recipient of verbal, sexual, or physical harassment or other offensive conduct or abuse from another member and/or as a result fear possible personal injury or property damage, you are responsible for reporting such conduct, statements, or actions to the appropriate law enforcement authorities in your area.  Romance Link’s responsibility in the event such conduct, statements or actions are reported to it, is limited to modification or withdrawal of membership privileges of the offending individual, although Romance Link reserves the right to report any such conduct or of any other apparent or ostensible violations of applicable laws or regulations to the appropriate law enforcement authorities.

 

You will not transmit or post any chain letters, “spam,� or junk E-mail to other Members or employees.

 

You will not engage in any advertising to or solicitation of other members or employees to by or sell any products or services through Romance Link.  Romance Link reserves the right to remove any such materials from this site, and to modify or withdraw the membership privileges of the offending individual.

 

You will not distribute, reproduce or post any copyrighted material, or trademarks or other proprietary information without first obtaining the prior written consent of the owner of such rights.

 

You as a Member of Romance Link agree that your usage of our service must be in a manner consistent with all applicable laws and regulations, as well as this Agreement.

 

RIGHT TO CONTROL OFFENSIVE OR HARMFUL INFORMATION

When brought to its attention, Romance Link reserves the right to determine in its sole discretion whether any materials posted on this site or communicated through the auspices of this site are “offensive� or “harmful� to anyone, or whether they otherwise constitute improper advertising, solicitation, or other forbidden categories under the terms of this Agreement.

 

JURISDICTION AND DISPUTES

You consent and submit the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts in the state of California, United States of America, in all questions and controversies arising out of your use of the site, service, and this Agreement or the Purchase Terms and Conditions. You agree that Romance Link may take appropriate legal action in the federal or state courts in California to enforce any of the terms and conditions of this Agreement, including but not limited to your obligation to pay the membership and other fees for services rendered on or through this site.

 

RIGHT OF ROMANCE LINK TO PROSPECTIVELY MODIFY OR AMEND THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Romance Link reserves the right from time to time to modify, amend, or change any or all of the terms and conditions of this Agreement. All changes to Romance Link membership policies and to any other terms and conditions of this Agreement shall be effective upon posting or other date specified by Romance Link and shall apply to you and all other Members, regardless of the date on which you became a Member.

 

RESTRICTIONS ON PERSONAL INFORMATION IN PROFILES

As a member of Romance Link you agree that specific, personally identifying information of the following types may not be included in your profile. This restriction is designed to protect you from unauthorized contact with other Members or non-members.  If such information is posted in your profile, Romance Link reserves the right to delete your profile, remove the personal information, and/or, if deemed necessary, cancel your membership. Information that must not appear in your profile includes:

Your last name.

Any e-mail address.

HTML codes or hyperlinks to home pages or other Internet sites.

Any Street address.

Any telephone numbers.

Any language or images that are offensive, including sexually suggestive comments, or inappropriate anatomical references.

Any information soliciting the sale or distribution of any service or product.            

Offensive racial or other references.

 

Although the types of personal information listed above are not permissible in your profile, you are free to choose to make any or all of your personal information a part of your personal communication with other members.  However, you should use caution in providing this information to others who are “strangers� to you.  You agree to accept full responsibility for any consequences, losses, damages, personal or economic injuries or other costs that may result from such disclosures to other Members or others.

 

TERM AND TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP; CANCELLATION OF SERVICE

Memberships are good until they expire or are cancelled either by you or by Romance Link, in its sole discretion. You may cancel your membership at any time by logging in to your Mail Box and selecting Member Services.  However, the terms and conditions of this Agreement shall continue to govern your obligation to make all outstanding payments and pay any remaining fees you may have incurred during your membership.  Cancellation is subject to the express condition that Romance Link’s fees and charges are not refundable once billed or paid by the member.  Without limiting Romance Link’s discretion to make membership cancellation decisions, you agree that a violation of any of these terms and conditions in this Agreement shall constitute sufficient cause for termination of your membership.

 

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY AND LIMITATION AND EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES BY ROMANCE LINK

Romance Link and Romance Link International, LLC, are not responsible for any incidental, consequential, exemplary or other damages arising out of or relating to your use of the service, including but not limited to any interruptions of service, downtime due to maintenance or power outages, viruses, technical difficulties that limit use or availability of the service, offensive communications by other members, physical or emotional injuries, and loss or damage to property,  even if romance link or its employees know or have been advised of the possibility of such damages to you or to any other person.  Romance Link’s maximum responsibility in any event is limited to the amount membership fees or other charges paid by you and for which you have not received services as provided in this agreement.      

 

Romance Link International, LLC, provides the Romance Link service on an "as-is" basis without warranty of any kind, including but not limited to express or implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Romance Link does not guarantee that use of the service provided by our company will be secure, uninterrupted, or always available or mistake free.  Romance Link does not warrant that our service will meet your requirements or that any actual or perceived defects in the service will be changed to meet your personal requirements or needs.

 

 

Some jurisdictions do not permit exclusion of implied warranties, and in such jurisdictions those implied warranties are limited to 90 days from the date the service is delivered, and your remedies for alleged breach of such warranties are limited to those provided in this Agreement or to the minimum recovery permitted by applicable law, whichever is greater.  To the extent permitted by law, your remedies for loss or interruption of service are limited to (at Romance Link’s discretion): extension of your membership period, upgrade of your service level, and/or refund of any unused portion of your membership fee.  You may have other legal rights that vary from state to state and jurisdiction to jurisdiction.

 

Romance Link does not warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any information on the service and is not responsible for the accuracy or reliability of any opinion, advice or statement made or posted by Romance Link or anyone else. Under no circumstances will Romance Link be responsible for any damage or loss resulting directly or indirectly from a member’s reliance on contents of information posted or transmitted to other members.

 

Romance Link is not liable in any way for the acts or omissions of Romance Link members or users (including both authorized and unauthorized users of the Romance Link service).

 

AGE 18 REQUIRED

Once you become a member, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.

 

DUTY TO MAINTAIN PRIVACY OF MEMBER INFORMATION

You agree that you will treat all information on this service as private and will not forward any information, including, without limitation, any personal information derived from other members or published on this site without the express written permission of the affected member or other initial publisher of that information.

 

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS; RESPECT OF COPYRIGHTS

Romance Link owns and retains various intellectual and proprietary rights in the Romance Link service. The service contains the copyrighted material, trademarks and other proprietary information of Romance Link and its licensors. In addition, Romance Link members may post their own copyrighted information, which may have copyright protection when posted in non-public areas, whether or not it is identified as copyrighted.  Except for that information which in the public domain or for which you have been given express written permission, you will not copy, modify, publish, transmit, distribute, perform, display or sell any such proprietary information.

 

USE OF “ASK OUR EXPERT� ADVICE CONFERS NO LIABILITY ON EXPERT OR ROMANCE LINK

“Ask Our Expert� is a general advice service of Romance Link for the exclusive use of our Members.  Romance Link makes no claim that such general advice with prove successful in any particular situation or with and between any particular Members.  You must use your own judgement and discretion in deciding whether and to what extent use of such advice might be helpful to you in your own life or in any particular situation.

 

MESSAGE AND CHAT RULES; NO ASSURANCE OF REPLY BY MESSAGE RECIPIENTS

Romance Link’s Message Center and Chat features are exclusive services for our Members.  As with any other aspect of your use of this service, these communications channels are not to be used to deliver advertising or other commercial communications, nudity, or personal harassment, threatening or other offensive materials.  Romance Link can provide no assurance that your messages to another Member or non-member will be responded to by that Member.  That choice is strictly left up to each Member as to with whom they choose to correspond.  Our responsibility is limited to making reasonable efforts to transmit the message to that Member.

 

POSTING CONFERS BROAD LICENSE TO PUBLISH AND DISTRIBUTE CONTENT

By posting information or content to any public area of the Romance Link service, you automatically grant, and you represent and warrant that you have the right to grant, to Romance Link and the other Members an irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, fully-paid, worldwide license to use, copy, perform, display and distribute such information and content and to prepare derivative works of or incorporate into other works such information and content, and to grant and authorize sub-licenses of the foregoing.

 

OWNERSHIP OF ROMANCE LINK; RIGHT TO ASSIGN

RL International, LLC, is the provider of Romance Link and it may freely assign any of its rights and obligations under this Agreement to another entity, organization, or corporation.

 

RIGHT TO OBTAIN PRINTED COPY

            At any time you may make and retain a printed copy of this Agreement for your records.  If you are a California resident, you, the buyer, may cancel this Agreement, without any penalty or obligation, at any time prior to midnight of Romance Link’s third business day following the date that you execute (or affirm) this Agreement, excluding Sundays and holidays.  To cancel this Agreement, mail or deliver a signed and dated notice, or send a telegram which states that you the buyer, are canceling this Agreement, or words of similar effect.  This notice shall be sent to Romance Link at 142 Coral Flower Lane, San Ramon, CA, 94583. 

 

SPECIAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PURCHASE AGREEMENT

 

TERMS OF ENTIRE AGREEMENT APPLY TO YOUR PURCHASE OF MEMBERSHIP

You agree to all terms and conditions in Romance Link’s Membership Agreement, including but not limited to those listed above concerning (1) Romance Link’s policy against refunds for unused portions of a service period even if your membership is terminated due to a deemed violation of Romance Link’s terms and conditions in this Purchase or the Membership Agreement; (2) Romance Link’s standards of conduct and behavior; and (3) Romance Link’s dispute resolution policy.

 

FEES NON-REFUNDABLE ONCE BILLED OR PAID

All membership fees for services rendered are non-refundable, and fees are subject to change at any time. Your right to cancel your membership in Romance Link is subject to the express condition that Romance Link’s fees and charges are not refundable once billed or paid by the member. 

 

MEMBER PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYMENT OF ROMANCE LINK FEES AND ASSESSED COSTS

You agree to assume personal responsibility for paying all of Romance Link’s fees and costs associated with your membership.
